You said this just above and you didn't provide any proof. According to you all things said needs proof and yet you failed to provide any. Duh!
How would one measure that?
One may attempt to measure it by the number of elderly people set to rest homes instead of being taken care of by family members. What good is it to grow old, only to be put into rest-homes to live out those extra years?
That has always been the case. Yet we survived. Our life expectancy has increased, many previously "incurable" conditions can be fixed with ease. And we did all of these even with a bunch of drunk doctors...

Merit in todays world is word that doesn't exist. Ethics and morals have been replaced by greed, lust, and a desire to excape all the suffering in the world. All one has to do is watch the news and the desire drink oneself to death is beyond imagination.

Well, I actually do vet my doctors a little. And if asked to provide their diploma and other credentials, I'm pretty sure they have to. And there are organizations keeping an eye out on them. And these organizations can be verified.
Let me guess, it is by peer review that this being done. Drunk, drug addicted and who knows what else is among them. Yep, I'm very confident is those looking after things.
