That's not a very good reason for believing something. Your argument boils down to "I might not be able to prove it but you can't disprove it so I'm going to believe it because it makes me feel better".
Your phrasing of "something/one bigger" shows that you don't even have a clear idea of what it is you are believing in. You also show that you're willing to let your imagination get the better of you by arbitrarily piling on assumptions to an already vague concept offering no justification as to why that assumption might be true (i.e. "master plan". What master plan? Where did that come from?)
